BARELY + FIVE O'CLOCK
A double bill that explores intimacy, space and shared breath. FIVE O’CLOCK by The Friends Collective unfolds in a shared apartment where four friends each wait for something different. Bonds form and fray as routine fuels dreams, boredom and hope. The tone drifts between wry humor and quiet reflection, using precise physical language to reveal small flashes of grace and despair. BARELY places two performers in parallel motion between ground and air. They meet, touch and part, carving a common habitat while testing the limits of gravity. At times they comfort each other, at times they contend for the narrow arena. Together, the evening traces a dialogue between home and open air, stillness and motion, inviting the audience to watch how closeness, trust and weight become choreographic matter.

About
FIVE O’CLOCK
A contemporary dance work by The Friends Collective set inside a shared apartment. Four friends wait for different things. From daily routine arise small moments of dream and boredom, closeness and fissure. Echoing the spirit of “Waiting for Godot,” the piece observes group dynamics, everyday intimacy and a waiting that may never end. A precise physical vocabulary and a gentle dialogue between bodies, objects and text draw a portrait of life together.
