Shhh…

In the social conventions and especially in those related to children's education, the onomatopoeia that Shhh... is the sound that preserves silence.

When we don't want things to be heard out loud, we put our finger close to our mouth and whisper shhh...

It has been said more than once, that the secret, especially the less painful "white" lie, are the basis of family ties, or of groups of people who apparently live happily together, but hide unsolved basic problems.

The choreography of Avi Kaiser and Sergio Antonino takes inspiration from this theme to build a framework for a quartet: 2 women and 2 men from different generations, who experience the complexity of being together.

Love, hate, reluctance, attraction, a sense of belonging and a need for independence are some of the emotions explored in this work.

After the seventh of October, the sound of Shhh... the instruction on silence, received a dramatic reverberation on our daily lives,  and the institution of the family has suffered situations of disconnection, brokenness, and helplessness - but on the other hand, it also has a tremendous power of unification and preservation, a power that unites our society.
