From insights that have emerged in the past year about the field of stage performances, its coping with the constraints of social distance, and the many challenges that accompany Israeli society, a whole dance center believes we have an opportunity for exciting development of stage performances for continued hybrid existence. For layered and interactive digital viewing.
The VR Dance 2021 project will feature stage dance pieces documented in 360 technology for viewing devices VR Headset that will allow interactive viewing of shows when the viewer's point of view allows a peripheral experience of the show and the possibility of moving to observe the event from a different point of view in space, at any moment he chooses. The virtual experience resembles a spectator watching the dance performance when he is able to move freely anywhere in the space, around the stage and even in the center, surrounded by dancers and wrapped in sound and lighting.
The event will take place at the Shalem Dance Center in Jerusalem in the new halls in the Horseshoe Complex.
Along with the events at the center, directors of dance centers and international colleagues will also be able to enjoy a virtual viewing of a selection of Israeli dance using VR glasses.
The project is supported by the Jerusalem Foundation and in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
