Festival
"Omes Tnua" takes over December, turning Jerusalem into one big stage.
International Dance Week (7–11/12) brings dozens of festival directors from around the world and more than 40 new Israeli works to the city.
It’s followed by the International Choreography Competition (10–11/12) — ten creators from seven countries in a border-breaking meeting of movement.
The month concludes with the Machol Shalem Festival (16–18/12), three days of local premieres, bold creation, and young voices alongside established artists.
The entire month is a celebration of identity, body, expression, and human beauty.

Shalem Dance Center has been operating since 2002 and is a supportive platform for independent dance composers in Jerusalem. The center was established with the aim of developing work in the field of contemporary, independent dance in Jerusalem and the capital center as a professional international cultural space and which sees dance as a means of mediation between populations in the city and a source of social contribution.
