Jerusalem International Choreography Competition 2026

CALL FOR ENTRIES

MASH Dance House cordially invites you to apply for the 11th Jerusalem International Choreography Competition, which will take place on December 9-10, 2026.

Candidates must submit a completed online application form by May 30, 2026.

A complete application includes payment of the registration fee.

MASH seeks original works that challenge the boundaries of choreography as a movement-based performing discipline.The Jerusalem International Choreography Competition is held during Jerusalem Dance Week, attended by large audiences as well as international dance professionals, competition and festival organizers.

CRITERIA:

Length of work: 9–15 minutes
Maximum number of performers and staff: 4

AWARDS:

1st Prize: €4,000
2nd Prize: €3,000
3rd Prize: €2,000
MASH Prize: €1,500

For non-Israeli-based artists – If a participant does not win a prize, they will receive a €1,000 participation fee.

GENERAL RULES

1st Prize: €5,000
2nd Prize: €4,000
3rd Prize: €3,000
MASH Prize: €1,500

For non-Israeli-based artists – If a participant does not win a prize, they will receive a €1,000 participation fee.

For selected international participants, MASH will provide:

Accommodation from December 7–11 (4 nights), including breakfast.
€180 per diem per performer.
MASH will provide a stage manager who will study the lighting and sound cues and run the shows

The final round of the competition will take place on December 9, 2026, in Jerusalem.

The four finalists will perform again on December 10, 2026, and will be awarded financial prizes.

All competition participants must be present at the final event.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Participants are responsible for obtaining entry visas to Israel, if required.
Each choreographer may submit only one work.
Any situation not covered by these rules will be resolved by the Organizing Committee.
Applying to the competition implies acceptance of these rules.

Exclusive Benefit:

All participating choreographers and dancers will receive a festival pass for all performances during Jerusalem International Dance Week (December 6–10, 2026), subject to seat availability.
