A man still carries the echoes of battle within him. His body remembers what words cannot say. Opposite him stands his partner, a choreographer who has lived alongside those reverberations for thirty years. On stage, they meet — not to reenact the past, but to give shape to what remains.
Together they attempt to create a language for sensations that defy articulation. Each gesture becomes an act of listening: to memory, to the body, to silence. The performance unfolds between tenderness and tension, control and surrender, as the couple seeks to transform experience into movement, trauma into touch, and remembrance into release.
The War Within is an intimate duet about coexistence — with pain, with love, and with the ghosts that inhabit both. It is an act of expression, of processing, of healing.
The performance includes simulated battle sounds.
Please note that it begins outdoors, and warm clothing is recommended.
