A dance performance for children on
the autistic spectrum – Amfibi
As part of its community–dance engagement initiatives, MASH Dance House established a dedicated series of dance performances for children and youth on the autism spectrum. These days, the center is hosting its in-house production Amphibious by Robi Edelman— a work that has been presented in dozens of schools as part of the Cultural Basket (Sal Tarbut) program in Israel and abroad.
The performance is adapted for children with neurological challenges and for individuals on the autism spectrum with low, medium, and high levels of functioning. The adaptations include advance preparation for families or school groups prior to the performance day, an introductory tour of the venue upon arrival, flexible seating options in the hall, the use of tactile balls during the performance, and cue cards that allow children to indicate whether they wish to participate actively or observe only. In addition, the production uses soft, sensory-friendly lighting and sound, along with professional accompaniment that enables breaks in a designated quiet room when needed.
At the end of the performance, an adapted interactive activity takes place, inviting children and youth to join the dancers, move together, and create a safe, engaging, and emotionally enriching experience.
The initiative was established in partnership with the Jerusalem Municipality and the Pais Council.

InHOUSE Residency
The Residency Program offers independent choreographers and dance creators a unique opportunity to work and create within the studios of MASH Dance House for a dedicated research and creation period, culminating in the presentation of a new dance work before an audience.

Dance Series - Momentum
A series of contemporary Israeli dance performances that brings momentum and freshness and invites the Jerusalem audience to experience works that place Israeli dance at the forefront of international art. The series features conversations with the creators and viewers who are invited to peek into the inner world and sources of inspiration of the artists.
