Do It Yourself

Do It Yourself  is a dance work that examines the construction of female identity in Western culture through the body and biography of performer Danielle Agami. Moving between dance, spoken text, rap, and storytelling, Agami navigates a web of conflicting identities: Israeli, American, Moroccan, European, dancer, woman, daughter, outsider. Through humor, discomfort, and vulnerability, the piece asks: How can a woman celebrate her power within a culture that constantly divides the body from the self?

Danielle Agami is an Israeli-born choreographer, dancer, and movement artist who has worked in Israel, the United States, and Europe. A former member of the Batsheva Dance Company, her work explores identity, embodiment, and the relationship between personal biography and cultural narratives.

Hillel Kogan is an award-winning choreographer and performer whose works have been presented internationally. His creations combine movement, text, and diverse performance languages to examine contemporary identity, culture, and society through a critical, often humorous lens. He also creates choreography for dance, opera, theater, and musicals.
