History Was Written By The Losers

Three mustachioed cowboys settle around a table in the middle of nowhere.

They sing about iconic figures, everyone who is someone, everyone they are not.

They rewrite biographies, invent worlds and fabricate new history with the help of poetic logic and imaginary landscape.

Their world is a wild west, absurd, irreverent.

Within it they embark on a journey of movement exploration that leans on architecture and the dismantling of structures.

Under the guise of a gathering of friends, a social satire is woven that deconstructs hierarchies and ponders what place truth has in an era of fluid reality.

The work was created with the support of the Yotzrim Fund and with the assistance of the Israel Lottery Council for Culture and Arts.

Tamar Lamm Alterman and David Kern are a veteran creative duo who have been working together in Israel since 2016.

They create dance works in a unique style which incorporates elements from theater of the absurd, music, comedy, visual arts, and more.

In this work, they collaborate with Tilman O'Donnell.

O'Donnell is an internationally renowned choreographer living in Sweden, a longtime friend and colleague of David's, and former director of Basel Ballet.
