Bare on Rust
By: Yasmeen Godder The work positions five performers within a clean yet tension-laden space – a kind of living installation where movement, body, and sound function as the primary raw materials. The electronic-meditative score shapes an audio-visual environment that is at once present and elusive, stable yet mutable, inviting the viewer to encounter their own reflection through the piece.

About
The work positions five performers within a clean yet tension-laden space – a kind of living installation where movement, body, and sound function as the primary raw materials. The electronic-meditative score shapes an audio-visual environment that is at once present and elusive, stable yet mutable, inviting the viewer to encounter their own reflection through the piece.
The performers’ bodies are conceived as sites of research: they yield to the weight of time, respond to the urgencies of the moment, and, at times, deliberately collapse into alternative states of being. Layers of skin become a charged, sensitive surface—a territory of materiality and vulnerability—where uncertainty evolves into a mode of existence.
The work premiered and was co-produced by the “Between Heaven and Earth” Festival in Jerusalem. It is supported by the Israeli Lottery Council for Culture.
