Now We

Now We is a duet that addresses feminist issues through a creative manipulation of language. The true nature of the performer's interaction is not merely conversational but interpretative. Each one is translating, possibly interpreting the other's words, emotions or experiences into her own understanding, highlighting the complexities and nuances of communication. The feminist themes explored in this work are long-standing, deeply embedded in societal structures and cultural norms, making the innovative approach necessary. Simultaneously, Now We is also a celebration, an ode to womanhood in all its power.

Béatrice Larrivée is a performance artist and creator. She danced with the Batsheva Ensemble between 2018 and 2020 before becoming a Gaga teacher. Béatrice was commissioned to create works for Ballet Edmonton in Canada, for the FLYOUT Transition Company in Rome, and for Project FLY supported by the School of Contemporary Dance of Quebec in Montreal, Canada. She is currently in creation with 14 dancers and a team of collaborators, among them director Maxim Didenko, for a new work produced by Improbable Arts. Over the past years, Béatrice has created six original works and directed movement for a theatrical creation led by Nadia Migdal. Her solo "Briefly" won first prize in choreography and second prize in performance at the International Solo Dance Festival in Stuttgart, Germany, as well as third prize at the International Choreography Competition in Jerusalem. The work "Briefly" was developed within the choreographic platform 1|2|3 led by the Suzanne Dellal Centre.
