The body remembers what it seems never to have known — or has already forgotten. It carries layers of time that dissolve and rebuild themselves.

Through movement, voice, and bodily encounters, the work explores the moment in which the past does not remain behind, but continues to echo beneath the skin, emerging through gestures, frictions, resistance, and unexplained impulses.

Dana Marcus is a choreographer, dancer, teacher, and artistic director. She is a graduate of the training programs of Vertigo Dance Company and the Ga’aton Dance Workshop, and is currently pursuing a B.Ed. degree in Dance and Education at SMKB College. Dana is the recipient of the 2022 Rosenblum Prize for Promising Young Artists and the 2021 Minister of Culture and Sports Award for Emerging Choreographers.Her choreographic works have been presented at festivals and venues in Israel and abroad, and commissioned by dance companies. Through her movement language, she explores how the body can convey a message - within itself, between bodies, in space, and toward the viewer. Through her research, she creates choreographies that examine relationships between images and people while engaging with contemporary, social, and personal themes.
