Take 3

I am longing

for what was, and will not return

for what could have been

For the owl calling through the trees

for the spider weaving her fragile threads at night

for the song of the landscape

the one I am woven into

For the ideal

for the hymn of togetherness

In a time of crisis, something in my perception of depth has shifted.

I need to rediscover those values of love, intimacy, gentleness, and tenderness I have been longing for.

I cling to closeness,

To the vital force of life - to an active act of living.
